The Fuzz Faze+ is not a reproduction, clone, copy, or replica . Nor is to be confused with any of the dynamic less "Jack of all fuzz tones, master of none" digitally sanitized modeling devices. Playing a preset algorhythm will not help your musical development.

By reducing the fuzz level the FUZZ FAZE+ makes an excellent signal conditioner that can add plenty of warmth to the cold antiseptic quality of digital effects and the sometimes thin, hollow, dry, uneven distortions of solid state silicon based effects. Using the FUZZ FAZE+ with your guitar volume lowered will give you a cleaner sound with more highs than bypassing the FUZZ FAZE+ and raising your guitar's volume. That alone makes it a dream come true !

Germanium Transistors

Germanium transistors clip softer than silicon, thereby producing a warm distortion . Each FUZZ FAZE+ is manufactured with a special combination of carefully selected brand spanking new imported metal cased germanium transistors , thereby providing you with decades of trouble free operation.

Plenty of transistors to select from to assure you get the best

The circuit used in the Fuzz Faze + is extremely stable , runs cool and is not prone to drift and tone changing problems that plague most germanium units. However, as the transistors age or if exposed to extreme temperature changes drifting may occur. As a precaution there is a (set and forget) quality trimmer within the unit that can be adjusted to compensate should that condition occur in the distant future. Or it can be adjusted to YOUR tonal taste if you wish.

Why is there no ac adapter or LED

The Fuzz Faze Plus was intentionally and specifically designed to work with a battery and thereby take advantage of the source impedance and sag characteristics the carbon zinc battery offers. With the current consumption being 1.5 ma. or less and given it operates to levels greater than 1.5 volts, there really is no need for one. It is also worth mentioning that an led can draw at least ten times more current than the unit does. Adapters produce annoying hum.

Incredible Cleanup Properties

The Fuzz Faze +, as users soon find out , cleans up incredibly evenly and smooth and as some say perfectly. This sought after property of the unit allows the guitarist to go from full fuzz to warm lead tones that allow the high end to remain intact without being overly fuzzy, all with a slight twist of the guitar's volume control.

Works with Wah Wah Pedals

The Fuzz Faze+ works with wah wah pedals placed before or after the unit and doesn't require any special gizmo's placed between it or in the wah wah pedal to function properly. Utilizing the mode control allows you to tailor your wah / fuzz sound even more. Check the soundfile area for an examples.

The Six Position Mode Control

The six position mode control has been a standard feature of the fuzz faze plus since 1994. This allows the user to remove low end or muddy sounds or allow more midrange and or highs to make it to the guitar amplifier. Some mode positions allow a more overdrive type fuzz , It also enables the use of a wah wah pedal without annoying circuit induced feedback. In combination with the tone control it gives you maximum flexability.

The sound files are recorded with units that are actually purchased and are a result of the thorough testing procedure that each unit undergoes before shipping.

There are no effects added to the guitar track except some reverb.
