The main objective of "Technovation Circle" is to gather the comments, opinions, and ideas of teachers. Issues involving the application of technology to educations will be generated from input supplied by you, the reader. Everywhere you turn it seems we hear somethings new about the Internet, computers, and multimedia. Many teachers may find they have not experienced any direct benefit from these technologies in their classrooms. We however believe this technology can be inclusive, even to those who are unfamiliar with educational technologies. By brokering your contributions to our column, we hope to assist teachers in the effective application of technologies to teaching. Some of your responses will be selected by students and staff to be included in the next "Technovation Circle". "Technovation Circle" was created by the Compumedia group at Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon.
This month's Talkback question: "How are you as teachers and administrators using technology to improve instruction for students?" Selected responses to this question will be reprinted under this heading in the next "Technovation Circle" article. Also, if you have a question that you would like to see included in this section, please contact us.
In this section, you as the reader can contact us with your suggestions of how educators have demonstrated effiecient and effective uses of technology in education. In this section we would also like to hear about other aspects of technology and teaching. Do you knw of any creative or humorous uses of technology by staff or students? Can you think of any business applications that can be used for educational purposes? We will research your ideas and suggestions for possible inclusion in a future article.
