For the Attention of Family Physicians and their Staff
The Environmental Impact Initiative (EII) Division of Health Canada is currently reviewing existing disposal practices used in Doctor's offices for pharmaceuticals and biomedical waste (since biomedical waste may contain traces of pharmaceuticals). To determine if the environment is being impacted by such items we are asking for assistance in gathering this information. The following online survey has been developed to determine how Doctors commonly dispose of such items and whether they have access to sufficient information about how these items should be disposed. This survey will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete and can be completed by the Doctor themselves or any member of staff that is aware of the disposal practices used in the office.
