Bylaw 46 - Medical Records
All members of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan shall keep, as a minimum requirement, the following records in connection with their practice.
Code of Ethics for Saskatchewan Physicians
This Code has been adapted from the Canadian Medical Association Code of Ethics as an ethical guide for Canadian physicians, including residents, and medical students. Its focus is the core activities of medicine such as health promotion, advocacy, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, palliation, education and research.
Medical Practice Coverage
All physicians involved in direct patient care have an obligation to arrange for 24-hour coverage of patients currently under their care.
Non-Medical Ultrasound Policy
The purpose of this policy is to clarify for physicians their obligations with respect to ordering and performing diagnostic ultrasounds.
Patient-Physician Relationships
The patient-physician relationship (partnership) is a unique relationship based on trust, honesty, respect and a mutual desire to improve health outcomes.

Bylaws Related to the Practice of Telemedicine
The following is a consolidation of Bylaws of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan as they relate to telemedicine and the policy adopted by Council.
Telemedicine Policy
The provision of a medical opinion concerning diagnosis or treatment of a patient in Saskatchewan by a physician located outside of Saskatchewan as a result of transmission of individual patient information by electronic or other means from within Saskatchewan to such physician or his or her agent.
Transfer of Patient Records
This guideline has been developed to guide physicians in dealing with the transfer of copies of patient records from a physician to their patients.
