ADOPTION

Adoption is the ultimate goal for all our cats and kittens. Whenever possible, through our web page and using local sources of media, Street Cat Rescue promotes the availability of cats and kittens for adoption in the hopes or finding a forever home for each and every one.All individuals adopting through Street Cat Rescue are required to follow some very simple steps:1) Pay the current adoption fee ( $125.00 ).
Animals coming into the program are quarantined (adults 10 days/kittens 14 days), receive medical care for any medical situations such as injuries or illnesses, receive deworming and vaccinations, along with spay/neuter surgery and identification in three forms (tattoo, microchip & Petlynx registration which includes a photo).2) If renting, must provide written permission from landlord to have a cat or kitten in the home.3) All new guardians must fill in an adoption form, as well as sign an agreement stating that the cat will not be allowed to roam at large, will receive necessary on-going veterinarian care, and should the situation arise, be returned to SCAT and not dumped or abandoned.4) All new guardians must agree to a follow-up Homecheck that will be arranged at a convenient time for both parties, and will be done by a qualified SCAT volunteer. All these requirements are in place to ensure successful adoption, and that all parties involved are happy with the final results. If you are interested in any of the cats currently being cared for by Street Cat Rescue, please call the office at (306) 955-SCAT to discuss this matter further. And as always, donations are gratefully accepted.

Note:  Most of these animals were born on the streets.  They are usually timid when they first meet someone new, but because of the TLC that each animal receives in foster care, most will adapt to their new home.  For those who do not they are welcome to come back at any time.

These cats, shown above, and others are available for adoption.  Please contact Street Cat Rescue Program for more information on adopting or fostering.
